Aerodromi Crne Gore – Valorisation models/Stock exchange More on

The Airports of Montenegro were registered at the Montenegro Stock Exchange as a joint-stock company for service activities in air traffic - "Airports of Montenegro" AD Podgorica (symbol of trade: AERO).

The total value of the Company's capital, according to the data from the stock exchange, is EUR 101.500.000 or 10.150.000 shares with a nominal value of EUR 10.00. Possible projects related to the valorization of the company Aerodromi Crne Gore, during last year, were the focus of the Montenegrin media. Several companies are reportedly interested in the airports’ valorization: the Turkish company TAV, which operates 17 airports on three continents, the Belgian company Besix, who at the beginning of this year expressed interest in participating in valorisation projects, as well as Arab investors – the representatives of 32Group based in Dubai. The latest news suggests that the Government has decided to offer Montenegrin airports in a concession, and a public call for all interested parties will be published soon on its website.

The plan is to award the concession for the airports in Podgorica and Tivat for a period of 25 to 30 years, so that the Government could improve the valorisation potential of the airports, because the current situation does not meet the needs of the state and its citizens. It was expected that the Government will publish the name of the company that will valorize the Airports of Montenegro by the end of 2018, while the application of the concession agreement is expected to start in June 2019. However, the company that will valorize the Airports of Montenegro has not been named yet. After all the procedures and tenders, the contract with the concessionaire should be signed in March next year. The expected amount of investment is at least 80 million in the first three years and at least 200 million over the total duration of the investment. The bidder is obliged to pay at least EUR 100 million in advance and pay at least 10 percent of the airport's annual revenue to the state during the next 30 years.
