Construction works for the the railway line from Bitola to Kremenica on the Macedonian - Greek border are complete, and a successful test run in April 2019.
It is 16 km long, and the investment is worth EUR 17.2 million. Of these 17.2 million, EUR 6 million are a grant from the European Union, and EUR 11 million are provided from the budget of the Republic of North Macedonia. This is a significant project in the Pelagonija region because, after 32 years, this region will then be connected to Greece again. It will provide fast access to the railway from the Pelagonija region to the port of Thessaloniki, and will continue to connect with Corridor IV to Turkey.
